Amazon and Roku just announced that in early 2009 the Netflix Roku player will be adding access to Amazon’s Video-on-Demand library. This will allow all of you Roku owners to get all of the newly released movies right on your TV the same day they come out. Amazon’s service allows you to purchase new releases as well as their over 40,000 other titles. No word on exactly when this will come out other then early 2009 via a firmware update.
