RadioShack is selling a new digital and analog capable converter box. Its called the Digital Stream DTX9950, and it features the capabilities to convert digital and analog broadcasts. The Digital Transitions and Public Safety Act currently only requires broadcasters of full-powered stations to make the switch by February 17, 2009. This will allow you to keep receiving broadcasts from those who haven’t yet switched to digital broadcasting, or the broadcasts from the low-powered channels after the switch.

The Digital Stream DTX9950, can receive both the analog and digital signal without a splitter or A/B switch. The converter box is also eligible for the Government’s coupon program: www.dtv2009.gov.
