Panasonic has just announced their newest series of internet enabled TVs the 58- and 65-inch PZ850 VIERA CAST plasmas. The two TVs are both internet enabled and can each receive streaming web video without the need for any other equipment. Panasonic is particularly boasting the new TVs ability to watch YouTube videos and check out photos on Google’s Picasa. Each of these will include a 30,000:1 contrast ratio, 24p native reproduction, Game Mode, an SD card slot, RS-232C port and four HDMI sockets. So how much will they cost? The new plasmas are supposed to be available in September with the 58-inch TH-58PZ850 being sold for $3,999.95, and the 65-inch TH-65PZ850 for $6,999.95.
