Rogers Cable a Canadian cable company has launched their own beta online video on demand site. This site will be allow its customers to stream video from 19 different channels.

If you are a Roku owner you currently have access to Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand, and MLB.tv, but you will soon be able to add ten more items to this list.  Roku will soon be releasing a free update that will add ten new content channels. Pandora, Facebook Photos, Revision3, Mediafly, TWiT, blip.tv, Flickr, FrameChannel, Motionbox and MobileTribe. We are still waiting for them to add the bigger cannels like Hulu and YouTube, but this is still a nice update.

The latest Western Digital WD TV Live media player is now out and available for purchase at BestBuy. The device boasts a wide codec support, Dolby Digital and DTS decoders, HDMI out, and an Ethernet jack for DLNA streaming and accessing YouTube, Flickr, and Pandora. All for a reasonable $119.99 price.

The ASUS O!Play HDP-R1 1080p media streamer is now available for sale at only $99.99. The new media player can stream and play back an array of formats with 1080p resolution support including DivX, Xvid, MKV and MPG, among others, together with MP3, AAC and FLAC audio. The device also comes with a full remote control and nifty GUI, while AV connections include HDMI, composite audio/video and optical digital audio.

BlackBerry has just announced a new app which will let you control your TiVo right from your phone. The TiVo for BlackBerry smartphones app allows you to browse, search, schedule single and season pass recordings all from an app that resembles your TiVo directly from your phone.

Verizon has just announced the launch of their FiOS TV Online to bring television programming online to FiOS TV subscribers.
